Aaron Clason is a Scottish-Thai theatre producer, general manager, and marketer with a passion for commercial musical theatre and bold new writing. Raised in Edinburgh and now based in London, he brings innovation, strategic vision, and a deep love for storytelling to every production he works on. His mission is simple: to develop theatre that is artistically daring, commercially viable, and deeply engaging for modern audiences.
Currently pursuing an MA in Creative Producing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama—after earning a BA in Drama and Dance (emphasis on Drama, no requests for dancing, please)—Aaron’s journey began as a performer before transitioning into directing and, ultimately, producing.
As a core founder of The Crunch Collective, an Edinburgh-based company dedicated to championing new work, Aaron is spearheading an ambitious initiative producing five brand-new shows with five completely different teams and scripts, which has saw over 250 applications from emerging creatives across the industry. In it’s first year alone, The Crunch Collective was nominated for the Scottish Emerging Theatre Artist (SETA) Award, a testament to Aaron’s drive to create opportunities for emerging artists and develop exciting new work.
His experience spans major cultural platforms such as the Edinburgh and Brighton Fringes, where he has developed innovative productions, collaborated with emerging playwrights, and led community theatre projects.
Now, an intern with Seabright Live, he continues to refine his expertise, working alongside one of the UK’s top commercial theatre production companies. Whether developing original musicals, championing fresh voices, or managing large-scale productions, Aaron is committed to making theatre that is both impactful and commercially successful.
Outside of work, he is a musical theatre superfan, has seen Hamilton more times than he cares to admit, never fails to sob during Defying Gravity and Epic III, is a gamer, a devoted WWE and football follower, and—perhaps most importantly—a passionate gorilla enthusiast. (Yes, gorillas. Ask him about it sometime.)
