Liminal by Julia Rahn

Edinburgh-St Augustines United Church- 41 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EL

Written by Julia Rahn and directed by Shamama Fatima, Liminal is a play about queer love, queer breakups, and battling cosmic forces. It touches on the themes of belonging and explores what it means to share a life with someone you once loved.

As night descends upon the city, ex-girlfriends Mar and Esme pack up their shared life, preparing to head their separate ways. But as tensions rise and memories are recalled, the sun never seems to rise. Something is wrong. The night plays out again. And again. And again.

Set within the intimate confines of a London flat, Rahn’s latest work masterfully combines existential mystery, raw humor, and tender moments. Between laugh-out-loud encounters and haunting revelations, Liminal delivers a poignant exploration of love, loss, and the spaces in between.

For fans of emotionally charged dramas and stories that defy the ordinary, Liminal offers a night of theatre you won’t soon forget.
